Advanced Sports Osteopath (Vocational)
Kevin's passion for osteopathy started when he was an elite athlete who developed chronic pain that was misdiagnosed for 2 years, which eventuated in having surgery and early retirement in the sport. He is one of few athletes who transitioned to being a high-performance coach over several years and now educates the sport on best practices. He is known for simultaneously having a broad and specific skillset in all aspects related to sports, education, and osteopathy.
Kevin originally struggled with bridging his lived experience in sports to osteopathy, however, has now developed a unique style of osteopathy where he is able to view the patient's story and provide an individualized approach to the clinical encounter. He values it so much where that his patient's comment: "no one has ever listened to and assessed me the way you have before", "I'm always so motivated after seeing you", "you connect the dots and consider things like no one else has", "I really like how you take the time to think about what is best for me" and "I never expected to see an osteopath who thinks like a doctor, psychologist, and health coach combined". To him, this is just as important as the clinical/technical skills of osteopathy.

Clinical Interest
Kevin's clinical interest the past 5 years has been implementing best practices to sports injuries and performance at a system level, however, has transitioned to treating the general population, particularly those who are:

living with persistent pain,
-
complex cases (cases that require second opinions) and
-
clients utilizing NDIS such as Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral palsy, Stroke, and Quadriplegia/Paraplegia.

Kevin finds that the general population needs high-quality medical and health care treatment. He finds gen pop to be a very rewarding population to work with.
